Now is the time to come to the aid of your country

As we move forward in our work to get snowshoeing recognized as a sport by the International Olympic Committee we need to find all the National Snowshoeing Organizations in every country that has one. Click here to see a list of every country in the world. If your own country has a Snowshoeing National Organization and it is not listed please let us know so we can keep the list as up to date as possible.

  • If you know someone in another country that doesn't yet have a National Snowshoe Organization encourage them to get started on one.

Tough course, big field of competitors helped make snowshoe championships at Highland Forest a success

Sunny skies, lots of snow and a big turnout helped make the 10th Annual Powersox U.S. National Snowshoe Championships at Highland Forest in Fabius a success Saturday.

It helped, many competitors said, that the course was among the most difficult they had ever seen. Race organizers laid out a 10K course for both the men and women’s senior championship races (ages 20 and up) that featured a number of hills and varying snow conditions — finishing with a 300-yard uphill stretch leading to the finish line. These pictures from an event that took place last weekend (30, January) in Rättvik, in the province of Dalarna, Sweden. It was organized by a local company in collaboration with the representative of TSL in Sweden.
